Here are my two scopes, a Celestron Celstar 8 (8" f10 SCT) and an Edmund 4" f4.5 Astroscan.

The Celestron Celstar 8

This is the Celstar 8 (Standard Version) which I purchased over 5 yrs ago. My scope was probably one of the first of its type sold as I purchased it from Roger Tuthill about the time the Celstar 8 was just getting into the market.  The Celstar 8 is the perfect scope for an amateur such as myself who likes to dabble in all facets of amateur astronomy. The images through the Celstar 8 are excellent when attention is paid to its collimation, something I learned just recently. With in a year or so, I plan to try more astrophotography with the scope, and add digital setting circles.

The Edmund Astroscan

My father bought  this telescope in 1985 as a Christmas present. This was the perfect scope to learn  astronomy with. The scope's 3 degree field of view with a 28mm eyepiece was instrumental in helping me find many objects for the first time. The Astroscan is completely different from my 8" SCT, and literally fills my need for a small portable telescope that is easy to use. Probably the best deep sky views I have ever seen through the Astroscan were with a 7mm Nagler. The Astroscan may look funny, but seasoned observers will tell you that this scope should not be underestimated!
