What's New
What's new at Bill's Astronomy Website.

June 13, 2001

Have been very busy lately, but more stuff is soon to come. Just added an excerpt in the Celstar 8 page titled "The importance of a Dew Cap". Also, the NJAA SID station should be up and running soon. We are in the process of finding a spot at the observatory to house the station. Once that is done, we should be able to start collecting data.

Pictures of the NJAA SID Monitoring station are now up. Click on NJAA SID Project, then go to the Recent News and Data page. Hopefully in a week or two the station will be collecting data. Unfortunately I have not been able to draw Mars yet. The planet rises very late, but in the next weeks it should be well placed. Hopefully in the next few weeks I should be able to post a few more webpages and add new members to the Telescope Gallery

Just added a solar picture webpage to the astrophotography section. This mainly contains pictures of the Sun on March 28/2001 when it was sporting the large sunspot #9393. Interestingly this sunspot released the largest solar flare ever recorded.
