Mars Observations for 2001

"Observations of the Red Planet"

This will be my first year of thoroughly studying Mars. My main telescope is the Celestron Celstar 8 (8" SCT F10). This year (2001), Mars will be closer than it has been in years sporting a disk about 20" large during its closest approach in June. Unfortunately the planet will be low on the horizon from New Jersey. But this shouldn't stop me from performing some disk drawings and photo's of the red planet.

If you are a member of NJAA and would like to include your Mars drawings or photos here, please email me at bill518@hotmail.com
